Vintage Johnson sterling modern ring with blue glass

Vintage Johnson sterling modern ring with blue glass. This ring is a beauty the blue in the center looks like stone but if you look with a loop or magnifying glass it does have bubbles which leads me to believe it’s glass. This ring is very modern looking it does have a split in the silver on the side rim around the blue glass, not sure if that was meant to be there or not. It is signed on the back Johnson, not sure of the initial in front of that. I left the original price I was on the ring. The length of the ring is 1 inch. Please see all photos.
