    Description

    Vintage CENCO Central Scientific Metal Bar Expansion Demonstration Apparatus. Consists of two metallic bars welded together, that when heated, demonstrate how different metals expand at differing rates. I believe the two metals are brass or copper and steel. Handle is plastic. Picture 2 shows metal bar being straight at normal room temperature and picture 3 the same metal bar when heated by a hot air dryer. After returning to room temperature the metal bar is again straight. Teaching aid. Overall length is approx. 12-1/2".
