This is undoubtedly the rarest military photo I have ever owned. Ultra Rare Yard Long Official Photo WW1 USS Georgia w Crew US Navy by JC Crosby. JC Crosby who called himself "Naval Photographer" worked out a studio in Boston from 1919-1920. He moved to Norfolk, Va. in the later part of 1920. A list of known Navy photographs he produced is listed in Naval Historical Center Homepage online Library. This one is not listed and may be the only one known to exist. The frame measures approximately 44-1/4 x 10-1/4". The previous owner had it professionally framed with a new dust cover installed. I cut back about a quarter of the dust cover to view a portion of the print itself. I guarantee it to be old and original.  There are a few condition issues that are common to photographs of this age. Please scan with the zoom tool to examine it for yourself. The backer board is white so the upper left corner and the few small white spots are holes in the photo. If you collect images of US Naval battleships or photos by this artist I am sure you are aware of its rarity. It may be the only to still exist and is probably the only chance you will ever have to purchase one. From what I read most are in museums.
