PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
SUPACUT Oxy-Gasoline cutting system utilizes standard compressed oxygen with gasoline as the combustible fuel (instead of acetylene or propane). The fuel storage tank is an explosion proof design and the fuel is stored without pressure, the same as in a FORMULA 1 racing car tank. Tools are easy and very safe to use. If your familiar withusing acetylene or propane you can easily switch to using our gasoline cutting system.
In addition to the S300 cutting torch (cuts up to 12") there is 4" cutting torch and also a welding torch available. However due to the power of the flame and the greater oxidizing nature of the oxy-gasoline flame we do not recommend this for
fine
work welding. It is more challenging to weld with oxygen gasoline than with an acetylene system. Although not ideal, this system can be used to weld in many situations when nothing else is available or large welds are needed on heavy plate.
The cutting and heating applications are incredible, but there are better options for welding particularly with lighter materials.
This listing is for a starter kit with S300L torch, 2.5 gal gasoline tank and gasoline hose, oxygen regulator and hose needed to get started and cut up to 12" steel.
Other specialized tools and equipment for automated cutting are sold separately.

Safety:
Amazing as it may seem, Gasoline is actually a safer fuel than acetylene and other flammable gas cutting fuels. Gasoline is non-tempering, non-detonating. In its liquid state gasoline it is IMPOSSIBLE to burn or explode. Only when vaporizing when leaving the tip will the Gasoline burn.  The fuel tank is an advanced explosion-proof design so that it can reduce the fuel explosion probability to ZERO. It is impossible to explode even if the fuel tank comes into contact with high temperatures or naked flames. Even if the tank is penetrated the gasoline fuel will not explode.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q. Does the product do all that oxy-acetylene does?
A. The SUPACUT Oxy-gasoline system was originally designed as a powerful cutting system and that is its primary strength. This starter set includes the explosion proof tank, fuel hose, cutting torch and tips to cut up to 12" thick steel.  If you need to cut or heat steel, oxy-gasoline is the way to go, as it has much higher performance and the running cost is a fraction of acetylene!
Q. Can I heat and bend steel?
A. Yes, the cutting torch can  be used for heating work, but if heating is the primary need the optional dedicated heating torch may be a better choice.
Q. Can I braze with this system?
A. Depending on the job, the heating or welding torch can be used for heating pieces to braze heavy
gauge material. Not suitable for light gauge work, it just has too much power!
Q. Where can I purchase the oxy-gasoline fuel ?
A. Oxy-gasoline is not a single product. The gasoline required is just regular gasoline you buy for your motor vehicle, same place you get fuel for your car or pickup. Kit comes with a specially designed explosion proof tank and gasoline hose to connect to the torch. Oxygen requirement is same as oxygen for oxy-acetylene. You usually rent or buy a cylinder from a local industrial gas supplier.  Kit includes a oxy regulator and hose.
Q. Why do you say the oxy-gasoline system is more powerful than oxy-acetylene?
A. Due to the properties of gasoline the gas vapor is about 4 times as heavy (dense) as oxy-acetylene so has much greater "punch"
Q. Can I cut through plate or other solid surface or do I have to drill a hole first?
A. No pre drilling is needed. The SUPACUT is MUCH better at punching through metal than an acetylene system. As the vapor is approximately 4 times heavier/more dense than acetylene and the flame is almost 100% oxidizing, SUPACUT can easily cut a hole and has minimal heavy/hot waste (acetylene has about 30% molten steel waste).
Q. Do I need oxygen?
A. YES. Oxygen is needed for the torch to function so a standard oxygen setup is required just the same as for an acetylene system. However, the SUPACUT uses about 30% less oxygen than an acetylene system.
Q. Can I use compressed air instead of oxygen?
A. NO. This will not work with compressed air. Like acetylene system you MUST have OXYGEN to achieve the temperatures required for operation
Q. Does the gasoline tank need to be pressurized
A.  NO - the torch is designed in such a manner the flow of oxygen thru the torch draws the gasoline into the tip, then mixes the gasoline and oxygen and the resultant vapor is burnt to provide the cutting flame
Q. How much gasoline does the system use?
A. Gasoline consumption is VERY SMALL. The product picture table has the all the details with different tips and plate thickness'. As a simple example if you were cutting 1/2" plate with a C100 torch (with a No. 1 tip), in one hour you should be able to cut about 100 ft of plate and use less than 1/4 Gal gasoline (approx. {{detail_product_description}}.75c gasoline cost) (See chart in pictures).
