72mm brass made. Circa 2005
Gilt and white enamel. Uniformed bust of the War of Independence leader at center on double star with white enameled borders, rays in angles.
In very good condition.
The Order of Bernardo O'Higgins was created in 1956 by expanding the grades of the Order of Merit after the grade of Knight and as a continuation of these the grade of First Class Bernardo O'Higgins Medal and Medal Bernardo O'Higgins of Second Class.
Like the previous one, it is reserved for foreigners. Later, in 1967 it separated from the Order of Merit with its own degrees, which were almost identical to its own. In 1985 its regulations were established, and in 2006 the Collar category was established, remaining with the same grades as the Order of Merit.
