Antique Vintage Miniature Brush and
Dust Pan/Crumb Catcher in Old Red
This is a darling miniature 'cleaning' set for a little girl and her doll. What caught my eye is the miniature curved brush - you can see the age of the brush by the darkening of the bristles. The reason it was curved was to 'capture' the food particles off the tablecloth and into the pan. The red on the back is a bit darker than the front - due to exposure to the air. The front might have been scuffed and touched up (?). The brush has a tiny string on it and then there is another string that ties to the handle. I'm guessing this was stored like this so that the brush didn't get lost. It's wonderful that these were never separated. It measures 4.8 inches in height, 4.5 inches in width. The brush measures 4.5 inches in length and .5 of an inch in 'depth'. There is some paint loss on the handle of the brush (see picture).  This would be a great addition to any doll, bear, miniature, brush or ??? collection.
